The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay — Developer’s Cut

The latest of new games I am playing. This is not a reativly new game, but after my long run of Half Life 2, I am just now getting to play something new. Riddick is a great game and at a good price. You can fined this game for about $20 bucks at your local Best Buy. This game has rave reviews from many of the local PC game mags. This is not your usual run and gun style of game. Stealth and raw power are your key to many of the levels. Not to say there is no action to the game. Many times I have been noticed by the guards and had to shoot my way out of the situation or run with my tail tucked between my legs. For those of you that follow the movies of Riddick in Pitch Black and the chronicles of Riddick, starring Van Diesel as Riddick.
The 3D animation is great work. Something new that they have brought to the game is self awareness. In most first person shooters you only see the gun and your environments. In this game as you look around you will see your arm, shoulder, knee, or foot. This really makes you feel as though you are really Riddick. Just as if you look around the real world, you would see your shoulder or foot.
This game is not for the kiddies by any means. Not only is the game bloody and full of gore. But the language was a shock to me. The developers didn’t hesitate to drop the F-Bomb during game play and talks with the people throughout the game.

Doom The Movie

The Rock is going to play the Sarge. Who better than the great one of the WWF. I think this movie will kick some major ass. Here is a quick explanation of the plot……..

Something has gone wrong at a remote scientific research station on Mars. All research has ceased. Communication has failed. And the messages that do get through are less than comforting. It’s a level 5 quarantine and the only souls allowed in or out are the Rapid Response Tactical Squad – hardened Space Marines armed to the teeth with enough firepower to neutralize the enemy… or so they think.
