When and Where Is It?

The Chicago Lan party will take place on Friday the 15th of August till Sunday the 17th in lovely Chicago Illinois. It will be held at The Chicago Marriott O’Hare just outside of O’Hare airport. Group rates will be 104.00+tax, which includes Double and Triple Occupancy, and must be ordered and confirmed through the Hotel! Please call 1(866) 614-8407 to book your hotel and make sure you let them know you are with the 2old2play group in order to get your group rate. Doing so ensures not only your rate, but our ability to secure the game room at an affordable cost. If you have any other questions you can contact them at 1(866) 614-8407.

If you are flying into O’Hare, their will be several shuttle services to bring you to and from the airport to the hotel. If you decide to bring your kids and family you will be happy to know that our hotel is situated right in the middle of both Downtown Chicago and Northern Suburban Shopping. They will have access to hundreds of Restaurants, a Shopping Mall, Movie Theater, and a GameWorks. If anyone would like to volunteer with set up or is coming in on Thursday, please email me at lan@2old2play.com so I can add you to the list of Staff. The Hotel will be providing a bar directly next to the Lan room so we ask that members DO NOT bring their own food or beverage into the Lan.

Why are we doing this?

Well for one, we love video games. Other then that, each year 2old2play tries to donate to a new worthy cause and 2007 is no different. This year we will be supporting the Children Memorial Hospital with the hopes of making children with life threatening diseases just a little bit happier by sharing our love of video games with them. During the event, we would like to ask all attendees to bring any unused gaming systems, games, or game peripherals to be donated to the children at Chicago’s Children Memorial Hospital. If you would like to learn more about Chicago’s Children Memorial Hospital, please visit their site below.http://childrensmemorial.org/default.asp

What Games Will We Play?

This is going to be voted on by all the members of the site. We will take a first vote in the coming weeks to get an idea of what everyone wants to play. Once we get closer to the event, we will take a final vote depending on what consoles and games are out.

What Should I Bring?

Since this is a LAN party, we will not be providing any of the gaming equipment. So, we ask that you bring as much equipment as you can from the list below. We know this is asking a lot, but this is an unsponsored event and so cost of space, TV rental, and Prizes are factored into ticket price. 2old2play is also not creating this event for monetary gain so we only charge for what we need to pay for. It is possible that 2o2p will be able to gain sponsorship and if so, ticket holders will be notified and adjustments will be made to the list. Don’t forget to mark all your equipment. 2old2play will not be responsible for any lost consoles, games, or controllers.

<!-Console (Xbox 360′s please but a Wii or PS3 doesn’t hurt)

<!-Laptop (If you want to play PC games like WoW)

<!-Controllers (As many as you can fit in a bag)

<!-Game Discs (We will try to vote on what to bring)

<!-VGA Connectors (All our rented monitors connect via VGA only!!!)

<!-Monitors (If you want to hook up something other then VGA)

What are the Rules?

<!-Bring Your IDs To the EVENT! (We need them to confirm your order)

<!-Must Be 25 years or Older to attend (Dont make us check IDs please)

<!-Must be registered with the site

<!-All ticket sales are final (This event depends on how many tickets we sell so there will be no refunds for ticket sales)

<!-Dont get out of control! (2o2p reserves the right to kick anyone out of the lan if they become violent, abusive, or conduct themselves in anyway that might cause 2o2p to lose favor with the hotel.)
